My name is K. Aruna. I am studying 8th standard. I am
Home Minister for Illyathendral Children’s Parliament .We used to
have regular evening classes in our village.
However, the place did not have
electricity. So it was very difficult to have the classes. Then the
members of our children’s parliament discussed, decided and sent a
petition to the Panchayath President. The Panchayath President
accepted the petition and solved the problem.

My name is Chandra Leka . I am Studying 9th standard in Varahampadi in Salem district. I am the deputy minister in Shakthi children’s parliament. Drainage water in my village has been stagnant for many months spreading germs. So it caused many water-borne diseases in our area .From our children’s parliament twice we gave petitions to the Panchayat ward members. But they did not take any steps. Then we decided to give a memorandum to the Commissioner of Panchayath Union. Within ten days the local officials visited the site and solved the problem.
